Initial CPC Module 4
To complete a Module 4 test, a Module 2 test must have been passed with the preceding 2 years.
Module 4 training and tests are conducted at our centre in Manchester, M40 7FS.
Study is via our learning portal and accompanying zoom based Q&A sessions. The learning portal contains videos covering the key areas of the syllabus. It also covers the techniques required to correctly answer the questions.
Module 4 is a practical test that demonstrates your ability to keep the vehicle and load safe and secure whilst also ensuring your own personal safety. It is a ‘show me, tell me’ test i.e. candidates must demonstrate through physical actions at the same time as providing a commentary to the examiner about what they are doing.
You may be asked about various scenarios such as how you would prevent criminality, the trafficking of illegal substances and stowaways, how you would handle emergency situations and how you can minimise physical risks. You will need to demonstrate your understanding of your daily maintenance checks by carrying out a physical walk round vehicle safety check.
To pass the candidate has to score 15 out of a possible 20 points in each topic area (75%) and an overall score of 80%.
